Help Needed with B650M Setup: No POST and DRAM Light On

I just put together a new setup with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, a Gigabyte B650M AORUS Elite AX ICE motherboard, and 48 GB of DDR5 RAM (which is on the QVL). However, I'm running into some major issues. After my old setup failed mid-game (red DRAM light), I had it diagnosed at MicroCenter and replaced the motherboard. Now, when I power on the new board, the system goes through a cycle of lights (CPU, DRAM, VGA, BOOT) and then restarts after about 30 seconds without sending any signal to the monitor. I've done a Q-Flash BIOS update, cleared the CMOS, tested each RAM stick individually, reseated the CPU and GPU, and even tried running a barebones configuration. The PSU seems fine too. I'm really stuck and need some guidance!

Sounds like there could be a few things at play here. It's important to consider that MicroCenter might have misdiagnosed the initial problem. It could be the RAM or even the CPU. I suggest taking your whole setup back to them for another check, but make sure you specifically ask them to test the CPU and RAM individually.

From what you've described, it seems like your system might be struggling with memory training. Sometimes it helps to let it sit powered on for 20 minutes. Double-check that the memory you're using is the same from your previous setup. If you're confident the RAM is good since it's on the QVL, maybe consider getting a different AM5 CPU to see if the board boots with it. If it does, then your 9800X3D might be dead. Also, watch out—some Gigabyte boards don’t play nice with certain RAM brands, like Silicon Power, even if they're on the QVL.

I get that some folks might frown upon returning parts after testing, but it’s crucial for troubleshooting. Just ensure you keep everything in decent shape!
