I've just started using Linux and ran into a major issue after installing Nvidia drivers for my GPU. Now, almost all of my applications won't open, including the terminal. Am I in serious trouble here?

I get it; that’s frustrating! Just a heads up, it's important to provide your Linux distro name and the exact GPU model. You can also try switching to a different tty (like tty1) and running `nvidia-smi` there to see if the drivers are loaded at all. If not, you might need to uninstall them and try again.
First off, don't panic! It sounds like you might have hit a snag during the driver installation. Could you share more details about your distro and GPU? Also, how did you go about installing the drivers? This will help others give you better advice.
