We've been using PaperCut MF for scanning to SharePoint for about a year without issues, but recently we've encountered problems when new users try to scan. They keep receiving an error message: "Something went wrong sending your scan to SharePoint Online." After some troubleshooting, it seems this started after changes in how Microsoft Entra manages delegated consent for Enterprise Apps. The official PaperCut guidance suggests that the necessary permissions for Sites.ReadWrite.All are required, but this permission is no longer allowed for user consent due to Microsoft's updates. Our enterprise settings used to permit user consent, but now we've been switched to a default setting where Microsoft manages consent. I'm curious to know how we can resolve this or if PaperCut needs to adapt its product to align with Microsoft's new rules. I've already opened a ticket with PaperCut but haven't received a response yet.

I didn't even realize PaperCut could scan to OneDrive! Looks like it's something that should definitely be on their enhancement list.
As an admin, you can go into the enterprise app settings in Entra and grant approval for the required permissions. However, it seems that even with admin consent, they can't override the new restriction on Sites.ReadWrite.All permissions.
It looks like this issue isn't exclusive to PaperCut. A lot of users are facing similar challenges due to Microsoft's recent changes to user consent settings. Check out the discussions on other sites about this; it's a widespread issue.

Right, even if you approve it, that permission still won't work under the new policy.
