I'm new to Linux and recently installed Ubuntu 25. As an avid gamer, I'm trying to play Rocket League on Steam, but I've run into some issues. Rocket League doesn't show up on my monitor when I try to launch it, and now I can't even open Steam. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this problem? Thanks a lot!

By the way, always good to mention your distro details and any error messages when asking for help. It makes it easier for others to assist you!

Hey! First thing, how did you install Steam? Did you use a .deb file, the package manager, or something like Flatpak? Also, make sure you've enabled Proton support for Rocket League in your Steam settings. That could be a game changer! Let’s start from there.
