Help! Troubleshooting BSOD: Driver Verifier DMA Violation

I'm facing a frustrating issue with my PC; I keep getting a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) with the error code 'Driver Verifier DMA Violation.' I've already tried unplugging USB devices, restoring to an older version of Windows (which didn't help), reverting driver states, and updating to a new driver. My computer is an I Buy Power prebuilt with 32 GB of RAM, an Intel i7-14700F processor, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060. I really want to resolve this without having to buy a whole new computer. What other troubleshooting steps can I take?

First off, before you consider buying a new computer, let’s try some diagnostics! It sounds like something hardware-related might be going on. Start by checking your RAM using one stick at a time, and test each slot. If the issue persists, there’s a chance your CPU could be failing, which isn’t uncommon in those 13th/14th gen Intel chips. If it is indeed the CPU, you might want to consider switching to AMD for better longevity. Otherwise, swapping it for a less-powered Intel chip like an i5 could save you some cash while still getting things back on track.

I wish I’d known about this last week—I’ve had similar issues and would’ve definitely made the switch!
