I accidentally uninstalled the driver for my Oneplus Nord Buds 3 Pro while trying to fix a low volume issue. Now, although the headphones connect, they only work in hands-free audio mode, producing poor quality sound. I've tried a bunch of fixes like looking for drivers online, reinstalling my Bluetooth dongle drivers, and attempting to set them up again, but nothing has worked. They show up under 'other devices', and I can't get them recognized as audio output devices anymore. I'm running OS Version 23H2 (Build 22631.5472). They still work perfectly fine with other devices. How do I get my headphones back to working normally?

When you reinstalled drivers, ensure the ones related to your dongle are up to date. You might want to check the manufacturer's site directly for the latest drivers instead of relying on Windows to find them. After reinstalling, try pairing the earbuds again and see if there's any setting that allows for media audio instead of just calls. Sometimes there’s a setting on the headphones themselves or in the Windows sound settings that might help fix the low volume issue too!
It sounds like a frustrating issue! First off, make sure you didn’t accidentally uninstall the device driver for your headphones instead of the Bluetooth driver on your PC. Check if your PC’s Bluetooth is active, as it could be connecting to it instead of your dongle. If that’s all clear, try fully uninstalling any Bluetooth devices from your PC. Go into Device Manager, show hidden devices, and delete any Bluetooth-related entries, including greyed-out ones. Also, check if there’s any option in the settings for your earbuds where you can set them to media streaming rather than just telephony. Sometimes, the dongle might not have a dedicated app, but Windows settings could help here as well!
Yeah, make sure you're looking for those hidden devices! It's wild how much of a headache Bluetooth can be sometimes. Good luck!
Totally agree! Keeping those drivers fresh can make all the difference. Also, I’d double-check the volume settings on both the PC and the earbuds. Sometimes it’s just a little setting that’s off!
