I recently uninstalled the AMD ROCM driver package from my computer because it was taking up a huge amount of space—about 50GB! I had installed it for some GPU acceleration experiments with Blender, but it wasn't really working out. After the uninstallation, everything seemed fine; my games and renders continued to work smoothly with the open-source driver. However, I've suddenly lost access to my audio device, which is a USB Moon Drop Moonriver 2 DAC AMP. I'm confused because I thought the GPU driver and audio device were unrelated. How can I diagnose this audio issue?

Just a suggestion: check if you have the correct audio device selected. Sometimes it can default to HDMI or something less useful. But if everything is gone, you might want to dig into your sound settings to see if the audio interface is recognized at all.
First off, can you remember what command you used to uninstall the driver? Knowing that could help troubleshoot further. If it was something forceful or specific, it might have unintentionally affected your audio settings.
I checked and it’s all just vanished! The only option is "Dummy Output," which isn’t useful at all.
