This morning, I was alerted by Windows Defender about a Trojan virus on my PC. After some investigation, I've learned that it might be a false positive, but I'm still worried and would like some reassurance. Here are the details of what was flagged:
1. C:Program Files(x86)ASUSGameFirstLibreHardwareMonitorLib.dll
2. C:Program Files(x86)ASUSGameFirstLibreHardwareMonitorLib.dll>[MSILRES:LibreHardwareMonitor.Resources.WinRing0x64.sys]
3. C:ProgramDataASUSGameFirsthd.sys
4. R0GameTurbo C:ProgramDataASUSGameFirsthd.sys
I've already uninstalled GameFirst, but I could really use some advice on whether I'm in the clear after performing an offline scan. I suspect that LibreHardwareMonitor is causing the flagging, but I'm not sure what to think!

It's a good idea to cross-check those files with VirusTotal. Just upload them, and it’ll give you a rundown if others have flagged them too. This could help ease your worries!
You're definitely not alone! A lot of people are reporting similar alerts today. It seems like there’s something funky going on with Windows, not specifically ASUS. In fact, I had issues with SSD alerts and then this trojan stuff. I cleared my C:WindowsSystemTemp folder and my alerts stopped. Give that a try!
I’m a bit confused about Virus Total. Can I check the files I’ve marked for deletion with Windows Defender there?
