Help! Windows Thinks I’m Offline, But Apps Work Fine

I've been dealing with this quirky issue for years: my Windows machine insists that I'm not connected to the internet, yet I can still use apps like Google Chrome, Steam, TeamSpeak, Discord, and most others. Despite having access to most apps, Windows won't allow me to perform updates or use any Microsoft software, and I'm also locked out of EA Play. I suspect my DirectX12 version might be outdated since I'm still on Windows 10 version 1909 from May 2019, which is causing some new Unreal Engine 5 games to not function properly.

To try and resolve this, I've already done a few things: I've reset the Winsock, reset the IP, released and renewed the IP, and flushed the DNS. I even turned on EnableActiveProbing 1 in the registry editor. Can anyone help me figure this out?

It sounds like you're running into some serious compatibility issues with that outdated version of Windows. Before diving into other fixes, can you check your current Windows version? Just type 'Winver' in the start menu and take a screenshot to see if you're really on 1909. If you are, updating should definitely be a priority to avoid more issues.
