Hey folks! I'm having a tough time with my HP Victus 15 laptop running Windows 10 22H2. Just a couple of days ago, the system started crashing unexpectedly with a BSOD that shows the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, followed by a "Boot Device Not Found" message, indicating a hard drive error 3F0. This issue persists for a while after restarting, but eventually, the system boots up normally again. I found an error in the Event Viewer related to TPM-WMI, which says, "The Secure Boot update failed to update a Secure Boot variable with error Secure Boot is not enabled on this machine." I attempted to enable Secure Boot in the BIOS after loading the factory keys, but doing so made my laptop boot significantly slower and now it won't start up at all. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this frustrating issue?

To get to the bottom of the BSOD, try collecting dump files. These logs can provide insight into what's causing the crashes. If you can boot into Windows normally, or even in Safe Mode, check the folder C:WindowsMinidump for any dump files. If you find some, zip them up and upload to a file-sharing site like mediafire.com. If you only have one dump or none, please follow the guide to set your system to create Small Memory Dumps next time a crash happens. This will help us analyze the issue better!
The WHEA error typically points to a hardware issue with either your CPU or a PCIe device. Given that you're seeing the 'Boot Device Not Found' after a crash, it might be an indication that your NVMe SSD is failing. Just to be safe, you might want to try reseating the SSD and see if that helps. It’s odd since your laptop mostly stays on the desk, but hardware can act up sometimes.
I think the TPM issue might be relevant here. The connection between the system crashes and the TPM-WMI event could indicate that the TPM isn't functioning correctly, which can affect Secure Boot. Have you tried resetting the TPM settings in BIOS? Sometimes, clearing the TPM can resolve these types of conflicts.
