I recently upgraded my CPU and everything seemed fine initially; I could access the BIOS without any issues. However, after I saved my settings and exited, I ran into problems. I encountered a screen related to fTPM and regardless of whether I hit 'N' or 'Y', it keeps launching an older version of Windows. This older Windows installation tries to scan and then says it can't repair itself, asking if I'd like to send a report. To make matters worse, my mouse and keyboard aren't working when I boot into this older version. I'm completely stuck and could really use some help!

Have you tried booting into safe mode? Once you're in, you can run a command prompt and execute 'sfc /scannow' for system file checks, then 'chkdsk /r C:' to fix any disk errors. Those steps can often clear up boot issues after a hardware change.
I’ll give that a shot now and see if it helps.
It seems like you might be running into a TPM issue. The PIN prompt is a security feature; since your hardware profile has changed, the old PIN won’t work. You might need to reset it. Also, when you mentioned the black screen, did you boot into recovery or safe mode by any chance?
When I booted from the right drive and pressed F8, I tried to run a scan but ended up with a log file error. It's all really confusing!
It sounds like your system might be trying to boot from the wrong drive. Can you clarify what you mean by 'older Windows'? Are you seeing something like Windows 7? Make sure you select your SSD as the boot drive in BIOS before saving and exiting. That should help you boot into the correct installation.
Yeah, I went into BIOS and noticed it wasn't using my SSD for booting. After selecting it, the system keeps showing a black screen with a spinning cursor. It's so frustrating!
Just a heads up, if 'sfc /scannow' fails, the issue might be deeper than just simple file corruption.
