Help with CPU Overheating and Error 0xc000000e

I built my PC a couple of months ago and it's having some serious issues. My setup includes 16GB of 3600MHz DDR4 RAM, a Ryzen 5 5600 processor, an RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, a 2TB external SSD, and a 256GB internal SSD. Lately, I've been receiving frequent error messages about my CPU overheating, which is causing my computer to freeze and then ultimately blue screen with error code 0xc000000e. This problem occurs at random times, but I mostly experience it while playing less demanding games like Hearts of Iron IV. I've checked my CPU temperature and it seems fine, so I'm confused. Is my system in trouble?

First, make sure you're checking your CPU temperatures while it's under load. Use something like Core Temp for monitoring. Also, run a memory test with Memtest86+ using a bootable USB drive – this can help pinpoint RAM issues that might be causing errors even if they don't seem directly related to RAM. Bad RAM can lead to all sorts of glitches, including system file corruption.

Just a thought, but you should check what your RAM's voltage and timings are set to at 3600 MT/s. Sometimes, incorrect timings can cause stability issues and lead to the overheating alerts you're seeing. Keep an eye on those during your tests.

If you’re monitoring temperatures, try using HWinfo 64 as well. It gives a detailed look at core temperatures and other components, like RAM and GPU. Make sure to check if your CPU is thermal throttling too. When you test your RAM, you might want to do it at base speed with XMP/DOCP disabled to see if that changes anything.
