Help with Crucial RAM Freezing Issues

I'm having some serious problems with my RAM, specifically the Crucial CP2K16G56C46U5 (16GBx2). My new build keeps freezing unexpectedly, and I've tested it three times with MemTest, each time resulting in either a freeze, an auto reboot, or yet another frozen test screen. Given that I bought these sticks secondhand, I'm starting to think they might be faulty, even though they look brand new. I did try swapping the RAM sticks around, but that just led to another reboot during the test and a subsequent freeze. I'm open to suggestions other than just buying new RAM, although I do plan to upgrade in the future. Any insights would be appreciated!

Which specific test are you running that leads to the freezing? Updating the BIOS could potentially help, especially if you have the latest AGESA. It's worth checking into that. Also, I’m curious about the MemTest you're using—"PassMark MemTest86"—if you can, try a few different memory test tools to see if the results are consistent.

Have you tried testing each stick individually? That can help pinpoint if one of them is the culprit. Also, ensure your BIOS is updated, as sometimes stability issues arise from outdated firmware. Lastly, consider disabling EXPO or XMP settings in the BIOS; they can sometimes lead to instability if the RAM isn’t fully compatible with the overclock settings.
