Help with GPU Not Displaying on Monitor in x16 Slot?

I'm having trouble with my RTX 5060 Ti Eagle GPU, which is an x8 model, installed in a B650 Eagle AX motherboard that has x16 slots. When I power on the PC, the VGA LED stays lit, and I get no display on the monitor. I suspect it might be due to the GPU not fitting securely in the motherboard slot. I'd prefer to find a solution rather than return it and wait for a refund. Any tips or tricks to troubleshoot this? Thanks!

Don’t worry about adapters—they're probably not the solution. Just double-check that your GPU is plugged into the power supply. If the fans are running, you should be getting some signal.

Yes, the fans are definitely working!

What CPU do you have? If it’s a Ryzen 9000 series, maybe check for a BIOS update? Just mentioning this since you said you got a display with another GPU.

As long as your GPU is installed correctly, it should work. Just remember that having an x8 connector means it might not be as snug and won't lock in like x16 slots do. Sometimes the card can shift a bit, so try ensuring it’s tightly secured in a way that gravity keeps it in place.

X8 cards can absolutely work in x16 slots; they just don't take up the entire slot. It's designed that way, so your card should fit fine. Just make sure it’s secured in place with screws from the case. If it feels loose, try tightening it down properly so it stays put.
