I'm trying to upgrade my graphics card from an Nvidia 750 to a GTX 1650 OC 4G edition. Everything is hooked up and working, but I'm having a tough time with the driver installation. Whenever I try to install any drivers from the Nvidia website, my screen goes black about a quarter of the way through the process. The only way I can recover is by booting into safe mode and using DDU to uninstall the drivers, and then I go back to normal mode with a really low resolution. This is my first time swapping out a graphics card, so I'm not sure if I'm downloading the right driver versions. I've filtered for GeForce, 16 series, GTX 1650, and Windows 10 64-bit on the Nvidia site. Can anyone advise me on how to proceed?

If all else fails, consider reinstalling Windows. Since you're planning to do a clean install, it could help eliminate all the junk and potential conflicts. If your system runs fine without the drivers after a clean install, it's a good sign that your graphics card is functioning properly.
It sounds like you've done quite a bit already! Just a heads up, after downloading DDU, make sure to boot into safe mode first, use DDU to clean up your old drivers, and then restart your computer. Then, install the Nvidia GeForce Experience app along with your drivers again. Also, double-check that your Windows is up to date before doing this, as that can help prevent issues too.
