Hey everyone, I'm having trouble getting my PC to boot up when it's rainy or humid outside. Interestingly, when I turn on my air conditioning or if the weather is sunny, everything works perfectly fine. Based on my limited understanding, it seems like my motherboard might need to be replaced. I'm looking for a motherboard that's similar to the Prime x570. Here are my current specs:
- Power Supply: RM750 80 PLUS GOLD
- CPU Cooler: H100i RGB Platinum SE 240mm RGB Liquid CPU Cooler
- Case: iCUE 465X RGB Mid Tower Smart Case
- Motherboard: Prime X570-Pro CSM
- SSD: Corsair MP600 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 SSD
- RAM: Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 16G 3000mhz
- GPU: EVGA 2080ti Black 11GB GDDR6
- CPU: Ryzen 9 3900x
I've invested a lot into this build and would really appreciate any helpful advice. Thanks!

Have you considered that the problem might not be your motherboard? It could be an issue with your power supply instead. If your system boots up fine in dry conditions, replacing the motherboard might not fix the root problem, as it could soon face the same humidity issues. I recommend getting a dehumidifier for your room to keep the moisture levels down first, that’s a more effective long-term solution.
I see your point, but my PC still won’t start even in low humidity. I think getting both a new motherboard and a dehumidifier might be the best approach.
