Help with Stuttering Issues, Event Viewer Errors, and Random BSOD

I've been experiencing some frustrating issues with my PC lately. It all started when I downloaded and began playing Marvel Rivals, causing my system to stutter really badly. I took a look at the Event Viewer and found a bunch of WHEA logger errors occurring every 10 seconds, which seems to align with the stutters. With hopes of fixing things, I decided to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11, but now I'm encountering a slew of new Event Viewer errors and even a Blue Screen of Death with a "driver_verifier_dma_violation" error. I'm not sure if these issues are serious or just Windows being noisy. My specs include an i9 12900K CPU, MSI 5070 GPU, and an ASUS Prime Z790-V motherboard. Here's a quick rundown on the main errors I've been seeing every boot, including corrected hardware errors, problems with the Intel management engine, DNS-client timeouts, and several others related to kernel and distributed COM errors. And the BSOD has been a real pain! I'd love any advice before I resort to a complete Windows reinstall!

Did you upgrade to Windows 11 directly, or did you do a clean install? Sometimes upgrades can cause more issues than a fresh start. If it’s just started happening after the upgrade, that might be the culprit.

I first upgraded, then I did a clean install. The clean install fixed a lot, but I still see that MEI firmware handshake error, although the stuttering seems to be gone.

This sounds a lot like a potential hardware issue. It could be stemming from your CPU, motherboard, SSD, or RAM failing. Maybe try running some hardware diagnostics or stress tests to see if anything specific pops up.

Ughhh, that’s what I feared! Hardware issues can be a real headache.
