I'm new to building PCs and I recently tried swapping my GTX 1650 with a 2070 graphics card. However, I ran into a problem: my computer didn't have the necessary power cables for the 2070. I'm not sure what to do—should I stick with the 1650 or is there a way to make the 2070 work?

Make sure you know what kind of PSU you have. If it's a lower wattage model, you're going to run into major issues when trying to run a 2070. I'd recommend putting the 1650 back in for now and wait to upgrade your PSU later. You’ll need someone to help with the installation since it involves more cables than what you have now.
It sounds like your power supply (PSU) may not have the right cables to power the 2070. Typically, a 2070 needs a more powerful PSU, at least 550 watts. You should check if your PSU is modular or has a specific power rating. If it’s underpowered, it's best to stick with the 1650 until you can upgrade.
If you’re not sure about your PSU, look for the wattage specs on it. The 2070 requires a solid power supply. You might need to get a new PSU if yours isn’t powerful enough or doesn’t have the right connectors, especially since you can't just use adapters safely.
Exactly! It’s not just about wattage; the cables are specific too. Definitely consider a 600W or higher PSU for the 2070.
I totally agree. A weak PSU can lead to problems, so it's better to hold off on the 2070 for now.
