I recently built a PC for my friend and I'm running into a VGA error light on the motherboard. I've built systems before, so I'm familiar with the process, but I want to make sure I haven't overlooked any compatibility issues. Here's what we have in the build:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX
- GPU: Gigabyte RTX 5060 Ti Gaming OC 16GB
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB 4800 CL40
I worry that the GPU might be faulty, but I also suspect that it could be a BIOS update issue. Since I'm currently at work, I wanted to check in with you all to see if anyone knows of any common compatibility problems with this setup. Thanks for your help!

It's definitely not a VRAM issue since there's no such LED. The VGA light indicates a problem with the graphics card or its connection. Make sure you're using the right slots and power connectors, and if the motherboard has any firmware updates recommended, go ahead and install those too.
You mentioned the VGA error light, which happens when there's a GPU-related issue. Double-check your connections and make sure everything is seated properly. Update the BIOS after confirming your components are secure, as that might help recognize the GPU correctly.
Thanks for the tip! I'll ensure all connections are solid before I dive into the BIOS update.
Appreciate the clarification! I'll check the power connections and see if there's a firmware update available.
