Help with Webcam Issues for Remote AI Monitored Exam

Hey everyone! I'm scheduled to take a remotely monitored exam through the ECS website, which uses a service called examproct.ecstest.org. I've got a fairly new ASUS laptop with a functional webcam that's recognized by the site, showing a preview. However, when I try to start the exam, I keep getting a "Device not available" error, even though my webcam is working fine. I've already gone through their troubleshooting suggestions, including testing on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, allowing redirects and pop-ups, running a VPN, and even disabling Windows Defender for a bit, but nothing has worked. I'm hoping someone here might have dealt with a similar problem and can suggest some settings I could change to make this work, as I'd really prefer not to travel for the test. Thanks!

It seems like this issue might actually be on their side rather than yours. Since your webcam is functioning properly in other applications, I'd recommend reaching out to their support team again and asking them to look into it on their end. Sometimes there could be a glitch with how their server is recognizing devices.

I've had a similar situation too. They told me to check my settings multiple times without any solutions. Keep pushing them—you might get someone who can help!
