A few months ago, I attended a Cloudflare conference where a lot of the discussion centered around AI and security issues. One presenter shared a story about multiple teams in their organization creating profiles for ChatGPT and other generative AI tools without involving IT. This can pose serious risks, especially as I've seen individuals sharing sensitive information in their prompts. I'm really concerned about how organizations are managing this issue. Are you seeing this as a serious problem in your workplace? What strategies are you implementing to monitor AI usage, especially regarding APIs and internal models that process data outside of the company?

It really boils down to a solid data security program. Blocking access at the gateway level can help, but it's not a complete solution. Start with proper data labeling and classification. If you use Microsoft tools, check out their guidance on AI data management.

I see AI usage similar to other data loss risks. You wouldn't let employees host company documents on personal accounts, right? Content filters for generative AI are becoming standard. It's worth considering organizational accounts that allow user management while keeping your data secure.
