How Can I Access BIOS on My Gigabyte Motherboard Without a DEL Key?

Hey everyone! I just finished building my new PC with a Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX, and I'm trying to figure out how to enter the BIOS. The problem is, my keyboard doesn't have a "DEL" key. Is there an alternative method to access the BIOS without this key? Here's a link to my keyboard and the error message on my monitor: https://imgur.com/a/help-n12eW8I. Any help would be appreciated!

I’ve never used a keyboard without a DEL key. Can you share a photo of it? It might help us figure things out better!

Why don’t you have a DEL key on your keyboard? That’s unusual! Is it a compact model or something?

Yeah, it's actually a 60% keyboard!

You can access the BIOS without mashing keys by restarting your PC through Windows. Hold the Shift key and select Restart from the power options. That should take you into some options where you can choose to troubleshoot and access UEFI Firmware settings. Just a heads up though, this method requires you to have Windows installed!

It’s a brand new PC, and I haven’t installed Windows yet.

It looks like your keyboard may not use the English layout. Check how the "DEL" key is labeled in your keyboard's language – it might be a different key altogether. Look through the documentation for your keyboard; you might find an alternate way to access it!

I even got another USB keyboard, but I still can’t get into BIOS.

That’s definitely a tricky situation. Even if your keyboard had a DEL key, it might not work in BIOS because many Bluetooth/wired keyboards need to boot up first. It’s a good idea to keep a standard keyboard handy for accessing BIOS. Have you tried that?

I got a normal keyboard, but I'm still having issues with it.

If you’re unable to access with DEL, give F2, F11, or F12 a shot. Sometimes they can bring up a boot menu from which you can enter setup. Also, the manual for your specific motherboard usually lists the key you need to press!

I’ve tried all the function keys, but no luck!
