How can I backup my notes from a Notepad app before resetting my phone?

I'm worried that my phone might have a virus because it's overheating and draining battery fast, possibly due to some crypto mining activity. Before I factory reset it, I want to save all my important notes from a Notepad app called 'Notepad' (which I don't think is available on the Play Store anymore). I've managed to back up some of my other files, but I'm not sure how to backup the notes from this app specifically. I've tried exploring the Android data folder but couldn't find anything. Any tips on how to extract or backup those notes?

I found a website for the app you’re using, it seems like it’s been removed from the Play Store, which doesn't help. Android locks down a lot of app files, so your best bet is to search your internal storage for .txt or .xml files. If you have many notes, it might also be faster to just copy and paste the important notes to a new notepad app that supports backups! Like, if you've got around 150 notes, just prioritize the important ones.

That’s a good idea! I was also considering copy and pasting. I think I have about 150 notes, but not all are crucial. I might just create a new text file in Google Drive for the important ones and go from there!

You should check your file manager for any text files. Try searching for '*.txt' in your storage; you might find your notes there. Once you locate the files, make sure to move them to another device or cloud storage before you reset your phone!
