How Can I Boost My Fortnite FPS from 90 to 240?

I'm currently playing Fortnite on Performance Mode with DX12 using an R5 7600, RTX 3060 Ti, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 6000MHz. Unfortunately, I'm struggling to maintain 90 FPS, which is really frustrating. I'm looking to upgrade my system with a budget of $400 to $500 to achieve a more consistent 240 FPS. Any suggestions on what I should focus on upgrading or adjusting?

Honestly, your setup is solid, and you should be hitting way more than 90 FPS. Instead of upgrading just yet, really dig into your graphics settings and make sure you’re not using any conflicting features. There may be a specific setting in DX12 that's causing your FPS to tank. Also, make sure your drivers are up to date. Sometimes just a small tweak can make a huge difference!

You might want to check your Fortnite settings first before diving into upgrades. Sometimes, it’s not about the hardware but rather some misconfigured settings. Disable V-Sync and any frame cap, and check if there are background processes hogging your CPU—things like Chrome with too many tabs can slow you down. You shouldn't be struggling to hit 150 FPS, so if you're still having issues, it might be worth looking into optimization guides on YouTube to get your performance back on track.

I feel your pain! Before you consider spending money, I'd recommend going into your game settings and removing unnecessary features that might be causing issues. If that doesn't help, you might want to consider an upgrade, but being careful with the cash. You shouldn't need to dump $500 if it’s just a setting mishap.
