How can I bypass activation lock on my iPhone SE?

Hey everyone! About ten years ago, my uncle gifted my grandma an iPhone SE, but they never really figured out how to use it, so she passed it on to me. At that time, I was without an Apple ID, so I used a friend's to log into the phone. Unfortunately, I've lost contact with that friend and can't access their account anymore. Now, I'm trying to get into the phone, but I don't have the original receipt either. What options do I have to unlock it?

Honestly, it might be easier just to contact that friend if you can. Just remember, using someone else's account isn't the best practice. But if that's not an option, it might be time to consider getting a new device instead 😅.

Yeah, I get that. I was just a kid back then, and sadly, that friend has passed away.

Unfortunately, there aren't many options to bypass the activation lock. You'll need the original Apple ID and password to remove it. If you don't have that, consider checking out Apple Support's guidelines on the matter. It could help if you can find any contact info for that friend.
