I've got a Lenovo X270 that originally came with Windows 10, and I'm trying to upgrade it to Windows 11. I created a bootable drive using Rufus and followed all the steps, but now I'm stuck because Windows 11 keeps asking for a work or school account. Is there a way to skip this step?

It sounds like your laptop might still be enrolled in some company software, like Intune, especially since it had a company sticker. If that's the case, you'll need to either remove the enrollment or use Rufus with the option to disable online account setups before you try to install again.
Keep in mind that the X270 is powered by either a 6th or 7th generation Intel CPU, which isn't officially supported for Windows 11. You might have trouble even getting past the initial setup if that's the case.
