How can I check for a possible remote access Trojan (RAT) infection on my computer?

I recently had a strange experience while playing Cookie Clicker. My mouse cursor started moving on its own, opening new tabs and searching for Twitch. It then minimized Chrome, accessed the settings app, and tampered with my microphone permissions. I promptly shut down my computer and unplugged both my WiFi and Ethernet connections. Despite running a scan with MalwareBytes and checking task manager for suspicious processes, nothing showed up. I'm really concerned that a RAT might still be lingering on my system. Can anyone suggest better methods to verify if I'm infected?

It sounds like quite a scare! If MalwareBytes didn't catch anything, it could just be legitimate software misbehaving. While you’re offline, check your process list and the task scheduler for anything unusual. That might give you some clues about what’s happening.

Is there a specific way to identify such software? I suspect it might be something related to Discord.

Sounds like you’re just getting pranked, lol! But for real, double-check your device connections just in case.
