How Can I Connect Modern USB Headers to My Antec 902 Front Panel?

I recently upgraded my PC, and I need help connecting the USB headers on my GIGABYTE B860 GAMING X WIFI6E motherboard to the front panel of my Antec Nine Hundred Two case. My motherboard has USB Type-C and USB 3.2 headers, but the case only supports older connectors. The manual mentions there's an option to purchase a front panel with USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, but I'm wondering what my options are for getting those modern USB connections to work with the older case setup. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated!

You're correct that the old USB ports on your front panel are just 10-pin connectors, which limits your options. An adapter could work, but honestly, if you're really set on keeping the Antec, look for USB expansion panels that might suit your needs. Otherwise, considering a new case might save you some headaches in the long run!

It sounds like you're dealing with a vintage case! The Antec 902 doesn't support USB 3.2 natively, so if you want to add those ports, you might need to go the DIY route. You could consider getting a 5.25" bay panel that includes USB ports and card readers. For instance, check out cases like the GRAUGEAR Internal USB hub. You’d need to cut the case a bit to install it, but it’s a good way to get those modern connections.

Thanks for the tip! That panel looks perfect for what I need. I might try modifying my case a bit to fit it.

For sure, the Antec 902 is really old news. To get USB 3.2, you could either buy a 5.25" bay panel that fits your USB needs or, if you’re open to it, look into getting a new case that has the ports built-in. If you love your 902, though, just keep an eye out for compatible bay panels. They should be around if you search '5.25 inch USB C front panel'.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I'm actually hunting for a flexible 5.25" USB panel myself. Just don't want to break the bank this time!
