I just picked up a second monitor to use with my laptop, but I ran into a snag while trying to set it up. My laptop has one USB-C port, and after using a USB-C to HDMI adapter, I found out that this port isn't capable of transmitting video signals. I did some digging on docking stations, but many of them seem to require a specific USB-C type that my laptop doesn't support. Are there any other options for connecting a second monitor, like standard USB connections or different types of adapters? Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks! 🙏

Also, don’t forget that there are USB-A to HDMI adapters available. They could come in handy for your additional monitor.
If you’re looking for a dock, Pluggable makes some great options that can connect through a USB 3.0 port. That could work for you without needing the USB-C.
By the way, which laptop model are you using? That info might help us suggest the best solution!
You might want to check out DisplayLink technology; it allows you to connect additional monitors using USB ports. It could be a great solution for your setup! Just make sure to install the right drivers.
Yeah, DisplayLink can really expand your connectivity options. Just be sure your laptop supports it.
