How Can I Deep Clean My C: Drive to Free Up Space?

I'm struggling with running out of space on my C: drive, which only has about 9 GB free out of 222 GB. Despite using WizTree to delete files that seem safe, it's never enough. I feel like there are a lot of leftover files on my system that take up space. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a tool that can really deep clean Windows and free up substantial space, preferably something more effective than the built-in Disk Cleanup? Also, what methods or tools do you use to keep your drive from filling up? I would appreciate any tips!

Have you tried BleachBit? It can take some time to tweak all the settings—especially if you want to keep things like browser history—but it's worth it for a deep clean.

222 GB isn't a lot if you have multiple games installed. Do you have programs or games installed on a different drive?

I really like using SpaceMonger—it gives you a visual representation of what's taking up all your space on the drive!

The simplest solution? Just buy a larger drive and transfer your files over!

To really free up space, consider disabling hibernation or adjusting your paging file. Disabling hibernation is pretty safe, and if you check for 'Hiberfil.sys' in your C: drive, you can see how much space you'd gain by doing it.

You might also want to look into reducing the recycle bin size or even disabling it to free up more space.

Honestly, nothing beats Disk Cleanup. Anything else might risk causing more issues than it solves.
