I'm trying to delete my child's iTunes account, but I'm stuck. Here's the situation: Nobody remembers the account password, and it's linked to my current phone number. The account isn't logged in on any device, which makes it even trickier. I'm also caught in a loop where communication is being sent to an email I can't access. What steps can I take to resolve this?

If you can't access that email for password recovery, it may be harder. That being said, have you considered reaching out to Apple Support directly? They might have a way to verify your identity and help you delete the account.
You can check out the Apple support page on deleting accounts. If your child is under 13, you have the option to change their Apple ID password through your own device as long as you have Family Sharing set up. Just go to Settings, tap on Family, select your child’s account, and then change their password from there. But remember, if you don’t know the password already, you’ll need it to delete the account afterwards.
Another thing to consider is if you can reset the password. Have you tried using the phone number associated with the account? Sometimes you might be able to get a reset link sent to your phone.
