I recently tried to access an old Apple account, but I was informed that access was denied due to some security measures, and I received a message saying, "This account is locked and cannot be used." I don't care about recovering this account; my main issue is that I can't use my primary email to create a new Apple ID, as it says, "Email error: This email address is not available. Choose a different address." How can I go about requesting the deletion of my disabled account so that I can reuse my email for a new account?

Why not just ask Apple to unlock your account instead? It sounds easier. But good luck, I heard low-level support can’t help with reactivating disabled accounts.
Yeah, I wish it were that simple. Finding the right person to help seems tough. Has anyone had luck getting their disabled account unlocked?
Deleting the account doesn’t release the email right away. You have to wait for six years after deletion before you can use it again. Plus, you need to log in to make the deletion request, which is a problem if the account is disabled. Good luck!
You should definitely reach out to Apple Support about the deletion process. Just a heads up, even if they delete the account, your email might still not be available for use again since it’s tied to the original account, which can be a bummer.
Thanks for the info! That’s such a hassle. I was just trying to buy a new MacBook Air when I hit this roadblock, seriously frustrating!
