I'm really tired of the new Google AI search hijacking my searches. I just want to use the classic search, but every time I look something up, it reroutes me to an AI chatbot. I end up closing it just to see the regular search results. Is there any way to stop this from happening?

I’ve noticed that the AI pops up only when I search for questions. If I search for something more straightforward, like 'PGA', I'll get the normal results with some extra info. It seems to depend on the type of search you're doing.
I’m getting a message like 'Can't generate an AI overview right now. Try again later.' Not sure if I did something to block it or if it just goes away by itself, but it's been good without it for me.
Unfortunately, it seems like you can't fully turn off that AI feature right now. However, you can try searching using udm14, which is a classic version of Google search. It's a bit of a throwback, but it might work for you!
One trick I’ve found is to add -a at the end of your search. That way, it skips any AI results and goes right to the classic links you’re looking for.
Just a heads up, it seems like this AI integration will only become more prominent. Companies are really pushing it, so prepare for it to become a bigger part of searches soon.

Thanks for the tip! That's a lifesaver!
