I'm trying to stick to the classic Google search experience, but every time I conduct a search, I'm being redirected to the AI chatbot. This is really frustrating because I end up having to close the chatbot just to see the regular search results with blue links. Is there any way to turn off this AI feature and revert back to the traditional search?

Same here, it's frustrating! I keep getting that message saying 'Can't generate an AI overview right now. Try again later.' Not sure if I turned something off or if it’s just luck, but I would’ve blocked AI if I had the option.
A quick trick is to add '-a' at the end of your search terms; that should filter out the AI results and give you just the classic links.
Honestly, I think it might only get worse. Companies have invested so much into AI, it feels like they’re pushing it on us regardless of what users want. Expect it to be a bigger part of Google search soon, possibly even rebranded.
You can't fully disable the AI mode, but there's a workaround! You can use a site called udm14 for a classic Google experience. It's like going back to the old-school version without the AI interruptions.
The AI tends to show up mostly when you type in questions. If you just search for regular keywords, like looking up 'PGA', you'll get the usual results without the AI stuff popping up, just snippets at the top as you’d expect.

Thanks for the tip! I tried it out and it honestly feels like a lifesaver.
