I've been locked out of my Apple account due to an alleged fraud issue with my payment method, and I'm completely lost on what to do next. After spending over an hour on multiple phone calls with customer support, I learned that my account is locked because of two recent Apple purchases: my 2TB iCloud storage and Apple Arcade. Initially, I was told I could create a new media account associated with my iCloud, but now I'm unable to renew my iCloud storage, putting my entire 2TB of data at risk. I'm facing difficulties accessing 'Payments and Shipping' since it's linked to my iCloud email instead of the new media account. The support team has been unhelpful and dismissive. They're citing terms and conditions without any clear explanation for this lock. My files, including photos and app data stored in iCloud, are now at risk of being lost, and it feels like I'm between a rock and a hard place. Has anyone experienced this and knows how to resolve it?

Unfortunately, it's tough to find solutions for this type of situation. It sounds like you might be stuck until Apple decides to unlock your account. If that's the case, you could check out the official support page for help on locked accounts, but it seems like you've already seen that. Creating a new Apple Account could be an option, but I know it won't help you unless you have a device that has backed up your data. That situation can really be frustrating!

I have a similar issue! Regarding downloading your data, have you tried using a different device with enough storage to back up your 2TB? I read somewhere that devices can sometimes connect to an external drive for transferring data.
