How can I duplicate my desktop to my TV for gaming?

I'm having trouble figuring out how to duplicate my desktop display to my TV while gaming. My main monitor is a 1440p, two side monitors are 1080p, and my TV is 3840 x 2160. I want to show my gameplay on the TV for my girlfriend to watch, but it only lets me extend the display rather than duplicate it. I've tried matching the TV's resolution to my monitor's, but it still doesn't work. Any advice?

Make sure your graphics card can support 4 outputs. Sometimes, just having multiple ports isn't enough. If it can't, check if you can use a port on your motherboard. You might need to enable onboard graphics for that.

Have you thought about streaming your game instead? You could use Discord to stream directly to her, and that way she can watch while you play.

If you're using two screens, just hit Win+P and select 'Duplicate' to mirror your display. If you've got more than two screens, go to Display Settings by right-clicking on your desktop and select each screen to set them as Duplicate or Extended based on your needs.

Exactly! You really need to get into those display settings to configure everything correctly.

It sounds like you might need to check your ports or graphics drivers first. Make sure your graphics drivers are updated, and try using different ports if possible.

Connection order is key here! Try starting your PC with the TV already plugged in. Ensure that the TV is on and set to the correct input before you power up the PC. That way, it can sync properly at startup.

Yeah, just make sure the HDMI from the TV is connected to the PC and the TV is on the right input before you start your computer. It helps with establishing a connection.
