How Can I Effectively Manage Company Mobile Contacts?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on managing company contacts for our phones. We have around 80-100 users, and all the devices are company-owned, mostly Android. We're using Intune, so I can enroll the devices. I'm trying to find a way to implement a centrally managed phone book that syncs seamlessly to all devices – that means being able to create new contacts, edit existing ones, and remove outdated ones all in one place. Ideally, I want minimal or no user interaction needed for syncing the contacts directly into the main contacts app. It'd also be great if there are free or low-cost options available. I've tried various methods and spent a lot of time on it, but it's been quite a headache with no simple solution in sight. Thanks for your help! Oh, and sorry for my English, it's not my first language.

If you have or can create an Azure subscription, there's a run book available that can manage contacts for you. You can use an Intune profile to sync those contacts into the native contacts app through the Outlook app or via EAS. That looks well-documented and straightforward! I'm planning to try this out when I'm back in the office. Thanks for sharing!

Outlook contacts could be a solid option to consider. Personally, I prefer having a hosted VOIP solution like 3CX. This way, you just need to provide data-only SIM cards, which can help cut down costs.

Our company handles mobile service through a single vendor who provides us with a portal to look up contact info. It's basic, but it works well for us. Mobile numbers are linked to AD when provisioned, so they’re always available in whichever softphone we use.

That sounds practical! But when one user calls another, do they see the caller's name like 'John Doe' or just the number?
