Hey everyone! I have an MS E3 license, and I'm running into some issues with receiving a huge number of emails from an external collaborator. According to Microsoft's guidelines, I'm capped at 33% of 3,600 messages per hour from the same sender, which means I can only accept 1,188 emails at a time. My collaborator's system is sending me around 7,000 emails simultaneously, all of which are relevant, but due to this limit, many of them get lost and I never see them. Is there any way for me to ensure that I actually receive all these emails, even if it takes a little time? Thanks for any advice!

Your current setup is working against you. Maybe talking to your IT about setting up a separate mail gateway could help buffer the emails before they arrive in your inbox. That way, you might bypass some of the limits imposed by Microsoft. It’s a bit of a technical fix, but worth looking into!
Consider using a different method for data transfer. Instead of relying on email, your collaborator could use platforms like OneDrive or SharePoint to send the data. This way, you won't have to deal with the email limitations. It might take some convincing, but it's worth exploring other options!
I hear you! I've mentioned that to them before, but it's tough getting them to switch gears. Hopefully, we can find a way to make this work!
Your collaborator might need to combine those emails into fewer messages. If they can bundle up 10 or 100 IDs into one email, that would reduce the number of emails you're receiving significantly, which could help with the limits you're facing. Alternatively, they could send emails from multiple addresses to spread out the load a bit. It's not an ideal situation, but it could work!
Thanks for the suggestion! I totally agree with consolidating the emails, but convincing a larger corporation to change their process isn't always easy. I'll definitely bring it up with them!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely consider that as a viable option moving forward.
