How can I factory reset my old Coolpad phone when I forgot the password?

I recently found my old Coolpad phone (model cp3320as2) from middle school and want to reset it, but I've completely forgotten the password. I've been following YouTube tutorials that say to hold the volume up and power buttons together to enter recovery mode, but every time I try that, the phone just powers back up and stays locked. I'm really confused about how to reset it!

Most Coolpad phones, if you're able to access the settings, would have a reset option in the settings menu. But since you're locked out, getting into recovery mode is really your only option. Just be persistent with those button combinations!

That's right! But I understand how frustrating it can be if it's not working.

Exactly! If all else fails, you might need support from Coolpad's customer service.

Have you tried holding the volume down button and power button instead? Some users have had better luck that way, but make sure your phone is turned off first when you do it. Sometimes, these phones can be a bit finicky about the button combination!

Yeah, turning it off first is usually the key with bootloader access!

I’ve had the same issue; the button combos can really be hit or miss with older models.
