I recently performed a USB installation of Windows, and I noticed that my hard drive wasn't properly backed up to OneDrive. Now, I'm trying to recover some data, but the recovery team needs the BitLocker recovery key associated with my previous Windows installation. However, only the key for my current installation is visible in my Microsoft account. Is there any way for me to access a previous version of the BitLocker recovery key through my account?

Honestly, it's unlikely you'll be able to recover the old key. When you reinstalled Windows, it likely wiped the encryption information on the drive, which includes the old recovery key. Sorry to hear about your situation!
Unfortunately, if the old recovery key isn't showing up, it may have been deleted or never synced to your account. It's worth checking other places where you might have saved it, like a physical backup or cloud service.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess I might just have to forgo the encryption if I'm not too concerned about data security.
