How can I fix blue screens caused by a driver issue?

I'm experiencing blue screen errors on my laptop, and I believe it's due to a driver problem. The error message I'm getting is that the driver DriverWUDFRd failed to load, and it mentions a device with the identifier PCIVEN_8086&DEV_A71D&SUBSYS_13C71462&REV_00. My laptop is an MSI Katana 17 B13VFK, equipped with an RTX 4060 and an Intel i7 13th generation processor. What steps can I take to resolve this issue?

First, you should gather dump files for a better analysis of the blue screen crashes. If you can boot into Windows normally or via Safe Mode, check the C:WindowsMinidump directory for any dump files. If they’re there, copy that folder to your desktop, zip it, and upload it to a file-sharing service like catbox.moe or mediafire.com. If you don’t have many dump files, check this guide on changing the dump type to ensure you capture the right logs next time.

Try updating or reinstalling your device drivers through Device Manager, especially for the HID or graphics drivers. Additionally, run the System File Checker with the command 'sfc /scannow' in an elevated Command Prompt to fix any corrupted files. Don't forget to ensure your Windows is fully updated and check that the 'Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework' service is set to automatic in services.msc. If you can't find that service, you might need to dig a little deeper to troubleshoot further.

I couldn't find the Windows Driver Foundation service either, but I followed some other troubleshooting steps and it helped clear up some issues.

I actually noticed I had a similar error message about the DriverWUDFRd too; looks like this is a common issue!
