I accidentally spilled mayonnaise on my laptop keyboard, and now some keys aren't working at all while others are giving the wrong symbols. What's the best way to fix this? Any suggestions?

I guess the real question is, is your keyboard musical now? Seriously though, good luck with the cleaning! And if all else fails, a new keyboard isn't the worst thing in the world.
Honestly, your best bet might just be to get a new keyboard. If you're feeling adventurous, you could try disassembling it and cleaning it. Just be careful with the process! You really have nothing to lose at this point, right?
For a DIY solution, here's what you can do: Take the keyboard out and put it in the dishwasher on a cold cycle (yes, seriously!). Then, soak it in distilled water to rinse it off. After that, let it dry with some cat litter or silica gel. Might be a long shot, but it's worth a try before buying a new one!
I feel your pain! What I did after a similar incident was get a wireless keyboard and completely disable my laptop's built-in keyboard. This way, I didn't have to worry about cleaning it at all! Just plug and play.
