How can I fix my PC’s Ethernet connection issue with two routers?

I'm having trouble getting my PC connected to the internet through an Ethernet cable. The cable runs from my secondary router, which connects to my main router. I've tried running the Windows Network Diagnostics, and it indicates that there's a problem with the connection between my router setup and the internet. It detected connectivity issues with my broadband modem and said that while the network gateway is accessible, my computer isn't receiving any traffic from the internet. I could really use some help to get this sorted out!

Have you tried disabling DHCP on your secondary router? If both routers are set to give out IP addresses, it can mess up your network since they conflict with each other.

Sounds like there might be a misconfiguration with your double router setup. It could help to sketch out a map of your routers, showing how they connect and their IP addresses. To rule out issues with your PC, you could temporarily unplug the secondary router and connect your PC directly to the main router, but I get it if that’s tricky because of the distance.

Unfortunately, I can't connect directly to the first router because it's too far away!
