I'm having an issue with my laptop's touchpad running Windows 11. It just stopped working out of the blue while I was watching YouTube and playing games yesterday. I've tried using Fn+F7 to enable it again, but that didn't do anything. I really dislike using NumLock as a workaround, especially since I don't have a mouse. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I'm using an Acer laptop.

Honestly, I recommend getting a mouse if troubleshooting without one is proving difficult. It makes navigating easier and can help you access settings that might resolve your touchpad issues. If that's really not an option, you could also try booting into a Linux Live Session to see if the touchpad works there. It can help you determine if the problem is with your hardware or the operating system. Just make sure to follow a guide for creating the bootable USB stick.
It sounds like a frustrating situation! Since you're already using keyboard shortcuts and they're not working, you might want to check if there's a specific setting in your touchpad configuration. Sometimes updating your touchpad drivers can help. You can do this through the Device Manager. Go to Device Manager, find Mice and other pointing devices, right-click on your touchpad, and then select 'Update Driver'. If that doesn't work, check the BIOS settings on your laptop to see if there are any touchpad options that may have been changed inadvertently.
