I've recently purchased Dave the Diver, but every time I launch the game, it immediately brings up the Unity crash handler. I know my PC meets the minimum requirements, but it only supports DirectX 11, not DirectX 12. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue?

It sounds like you might need to free up some disk space or check if there’s a RAM issue. However, you mentioned you have 400GB free and a 64-bit OS, so that shouldn’t be a problem. Just so you know, the game doesn't require DirectX 12, so your DX11 setup should be fine!
Have you checked the error message? A lot of people forget to include it when asking for help, which can make troubleshooting harder. If the crash happens without a detailed message, try looking into the game files or forums for more specific error reports. You should also contact the developers; their Steam page confirms DX11 support.
Also, if you’re using Steam, make sure to specify DX11 in the launch options by adding -dx11. I had a similar crash with another game, and that fixed it for me. But if you've already tried that and it didn't work, it might be a different issue.
I appreciate the tips! The error message is just a picture of the game with a red flag and the word Unity. It doesn’t provide more details, which is frustrating. I thought mentioning DX12 would be relevant since it's been an issue with other games in the past.
