I recently installed CachyOS on my ThinkPad E590, and I'm experiencing a delay when I move the cursor, which is really frustrating. I've tried switching to the synaptics drivers instead of libinput and even tested different Linux distributions, but the problem persists. Interestingly, I don't have these issues on Windows, and I really don't want to revert back just for better touchpad performance. Can anyone offer some advice or solutions?

Have you considered switching from Xorg to Wayland? That might resolve the latency issue you're facing. However, if you're already on Wayland, then it might be something else causing the problem.
You might want to give EndeavourOS a try. I've found it offers better touchpad functionality right out of the box. You could probably sort out the drivers yourself, but I'm not quite sure how that would work. What desktop environment are you using? Sometimes that can make a difference.
