How can I get a refund for an accidental App Store purchase?

I accidentally signed up for a yearly subscription after starting a free trial on an app from the App Store. I had selected the option for notifications before the trial ended, but I never received any. When the subscription was charged to my account, I requested a refund from Apple, but they denied my request. I tried reaching out again with more details, but they still refused. Is there any way I can contact Apple to resolve this and get my money back? Also, the app stopped working after I asked for the refund, and now I can't access any features I paid for, so I feel like I've lost my money completely.

It sounds like a bummer. If you really didn’t use the app much and it’s not functioning as it should, definitely reach out to Apple support and explain your situation clearly. Sometimes that can help, but no guarantees.

Make sure to cancel any free trials right when you sign up. That way, you can still explore the app without risking a charge later. Sorry to say, but once they process your payment, they usually aren’t willing to give it back.

Honestly, Apple won't refund you for a purchase you didn't cancel on time. It's tough, but it's on you to keep track of the free trials you're signing up for. Next time, just remember to cancel before the trial ends.

Apple's policies are pretty strict about refunds for subscriptions. Once the subscription is active and the money is taken, they don’t usually reverse those charges unless there's a really good reason. If you're in the EU, maybe try citing your right to withdrawal when you contact support again.
