I recently reinstalled Windows on my old laptop and now I can't connect to the internet because all the drivers are missing. I thought I had some drivers saved in a folder, but they seem to have disappeared. I do have a Redmi 9A phone and tried to share internet through USB tethering, but it won't turn on. I've messed around in developer options, changed the USB configuration, but nothing seems to work. The laptop doesn't recognize the phone, it only charges. I have no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth available. My phone's mobile data works fine, and the SIM card is inserted. Does anyone have any suggestions or workarounds for getting internet access in this situation?

It’s tough without internet access. You should try downloading the drivers from the manufacturer's support page using another device that’s online. If that's not an option, see if you can borrow a flash drive to transfer the drivers from someone who has internet access.
Your old laptop might run better on Linux instead of Windows 7, especially since Windows 7 isn't getting security updates anymore. This way you'd avoid connecting to the internet without proper protection. But you'd need access to another computer to create an installation drive unless you want to try using your phone with a USB adapter.
Just install the necessary drivers, it's usually the simplest solution!
I can't install them since I have no internet and can't find the drivers.

I'm hoping to find a new cable tomorrow. Otherwise, I’m really stuck. I don’t have anyone nearby who can help me.
