How can I get my new computer setup to display on the screen?

Hi everyone! I just got my HP Z4G4 and installed a new TRX4000 GPU, but I'm having trouble getting it to display anything on my monitor. I bought a display-to-HDMI cable, but all I see is 'searching for signal.' The GPU fan is running, and everything is plugged in correctly. I even saw a flicker of the BIOS for just a second, but then it disappeared. Any help would be appreciated!

It sounds like your monitor may not be recognizing the input. Double-check that all connections are secure. If you have a spare cable, it might be worth swapping that out for a test. Just make sure you’re using the HDMI from the GPU!

Have you tried using a different cable or maybe even a different HDMI port? Also, make sure you're connecting the display cable to the GPU and not the motherboard. If you're unsure, you can try connecting the HDMI to the motherboard’s port just to see if it boots up to the BIOS. That might give you a clue about whether the GPU is functioning properly.

Make sure your monitor is set to the correct input source. Sometimes monitors can switch inputs automatically, but it’s a good idea to check the settings manually. And if possible, try using an adapter to connect to the HDMI directly if that’s what you were using before.
