My mom accidentally clicked on a sketchy ad about checking blood sugar and ended up installing some adware that seems to have deleted itself. Now her phone is bombarded with random ads that get worse the more she uses it. I've tried to check the recent apps she's used, but nothing seems to show up, and neither Malwarebytes nor Avast identified any issues. I also attempted blocking notifications from Google and Chrome but with no luck. Since we live in a rural area, it's tough to find someone who specializes in this. What are some things I can do to help her out?

First, check the notification settings on her phone and disable any suspicious notifications. Then, go through the apps list in the settings to see which apps have been installed recently. Sometimes, the source of the problem is hiding among recent installs!
